Buyback is a software system that allows bookstores to efficiently
purchase used textbooks from students. The Buyback software
can be implemented as an independent system on its own host computer
or as an additional component on the host computer that is running
other RATEX software. |
COMPREHENSIVE BUYING LISTS
Buyback lists can be generated from existing information on
the RATEX Textbook System. Furthermore, books can be bought
on behalf of any or all of the six major Wholesale Buyer Guides.
Additionally, manual lists can be maintained on a store site basis
for those bookstores with multiple locations. |
MANAGING BUYBACK INFORMATION
Buyback gives you the flexibility to control open-to-buy
quantities, prices and conditions for each title.
Upon the successful completion of a buyback period, you can utilize
the Buyback System to post actual buyback quantities to the
RATEX Textbook System, to generate transfer records and to
post to the RATEX Stock Ledger System. |
BUYBACK REPORTING AND PRINTED OUTPUT
Utilize the Buyback software's printout capabilities for generating
receipts/vouchers, book tags, packing lists and
shipping labels.
Furthermore, the system provides the following canned reports
to help you manage your Buyback sessions:
- Buyback Results:
- Detailed w/ Title Information
- Summarized
- Sorted by Indiividual Buyer
- Transaction Detail
- Cash Management
- Buyback Totals
