CENTRALIZING RECEIVING MANAGEMENT
With the Receiving Module you will be able to centralize your
data entry. This provides you with the ability to automatically update
class inventory figures in the accounting stock ledger, open receivers,
accrual tracing in the Accounts
Payable Module, and item inventory figures for Textbooks,
Tradebooks, and General
Merchandise in the inventory modules.
The Receiving Module can significantly reduce the time spent
in performing responsibilities such as delivery management, purchase
order matching with packing list data and price tag printing.
The Receiving Module can provide:
- Entry of delivery information such as carrier, date of delivery and
number of cartons
- Printing of delivery status reports
- On-line matching of receiving data with PO line items.
- On-line ticketing for all merchandise in the received quantities
- Correction of receiving information previously entered
- Updating of receiving information to other modules as appropriate
- Optional procedures for entry of packing and receiving information to
meet the specific needs of various bookstore operations
- Flagging of special order merchandise, printing customer information
for those designated item(s)
